Job Title: Retail Store Manager


Job Location: Accra, Greater Accra


Job Description

The Global Mamas Store Manager has overall responsibility to ensure the store is the best place to shop in Ghana (superior customer service and top-notch merchandising) and is the best managed store (accurate and efficient stock tracking, order processing and sales management.) while ensuring that Employees are managed in a fair and efficient manner. Duties include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Ensures that excellent customer service is provided by manager and all staff members
  • Motivates sales staff to perform to the best of their ability and achieve company sales goals
  • Takes on marketing outreach programs to create and maintain relationships with future and past partners
  • Maintains store employees results through leadership style management using tactics such as, coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results
  • Achieves financial objectives by tracking and recording sales goals and maintaining all daily sales records  
  • Identifies current and future customer requirements by establishing rapport with potential and actual customers
  • Ensures availability of merchandise and services by maintaining inventories and submitting orders to several production locations and maintaining an accurate record of stock
  • Markets merchandise by studying advertising, sales promotion, and display plans
  • Protects employees and customers by providing a safe and clean store environment
  • Determines marketing strategy changes by reviewing operating and financial statements and sales records
  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies
  • Maintains operations by initiating, coordinating, and enforcing program, operational, and personnel policies and procedures
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed


Qualification and Requirements

  • A minimum of an HND is required
  • At least 3-5 years working experience in management and marketing
